Insights into sustainable farming research

The January talk will be given by Professor Nicola Cannon, Professor of Agriculture at the Royal Agricultural University.

Agriculture is under pressure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to reach net zero whilst also trying to adapt to changes as a result of Brexit, climate change and erratic commodity and input prices.  This talk will evaluate some factors being investigated to try and adapt to these challenges.

Prof Nicola works on research projects from biochar, carbon evaluation, biocropping, long term experiments, non-chemical weed control as well being involved with a range of international projects including Uzbekistan and United Arab Emirates.
