This seminar will provide an overview of the perovskite photovoltaics research activities at the Australian National University. The ANU perovskite PV group was established in 2014 with the long term goal to develop perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells with efficiencies above 30%. This presentation will review our progress toward this goal, including the demonstration of a (then record) 26.4% 4-terminal tandem cell in 2017, and more recent 2-terminal tandem cell results. I will also discuss examples of more fundamental studies related to defect passivation and ionic drift-diffusion modelling that provide insights into the complex dynamics of perovskite solar cells.
